 Batik artist Liz Sykes lives and
works on the Isle of Islay, in the Inner Hebrides, where her studio is open to visitors. Her original batik paintings are in private collections throughout the world. Her work is inspired by the colours and lights of Western Scotland and features flowers, wild-life, Scottish landscapes and Celtic themes. She also sells signed, framed and unframed prints and greetings cards, and beautiful original hand-dyed silk scarves and ties. All of these products are available at her studio on Islay. Each of the silk scarves and ties is an original
batik, individually hand-dyed so that no two can ever be the same. The range is so wide
that it can only be viewed by visiting her studio on Islay. This is why some original
products are not in the mail-order or wholesale catalogues.
