The inspiration to create a lovely piece of Scottish
jewellery with a very special message came to us on a visit to the lovely Island of Iona,
for centuries the burial place of the King of Scots. Iona is a magical place, a green and
gold jewel; silver sands lace-edging the blue sea. St Columba founded the first settlement in 563AD and the light of Christianity shone out across Britain from this remote Island. It occurred to us that Scots, at home and abroad, might like to possess a personal piece of exquisite jewellery, reminding them of their origins and giving them a special message of hope in this increasingly dangerous and uncertain world. The stone had to be Amber, the sun stone, made out of the lifeblood of the mighty trees of the Caledonian forests representing the unique nature of Scotland and the Scots: STRENGTH, COURAGE AND BEAUTY. The setting had to be lovingly hand crafted silver and embedded a Mustard Seed representing: FAITH, GROWTH AND COMMITMENT.
